House Ibis is a family home in Cape Town designed in 2018.​

Gideon Malherbe worked on this project while employed by Malherbe Rust Architects, as an architectural graduate shortly after completing his masters degree.  His role was to develop the concept design and this project served as a landmark in his development as an architect.  This project was an opportunity to explore the possibilities of the Cape Dutch Vernacular in addressing the needs of a young family.
